RESIDENTIAL

MAKILING RESERVE

LAGUNA

A combination of adobe and wooded elements are used liberally throughout the exterior and interior of the Makiling Reserve Residence, bringing warmth to the biophilic home. Vertical wood brise soleils made of Accoya (wood treated through acetylation) recur throughout the home, and are concentrated on the south facing side where heat is brought about by monsoon winds. Additionally, the roof eaves were made up of special cut Philippine mahogany that extended into the interior ceiling of the living space.
