Roughly rectangular in plan, this three-storey residential home with basement is fit for a budding family of 5. On the main street-facing elevation, a monolithic cast-in-situ concrete rises on the left side. Contrasting this design are staggered slats halved diagonally from 2x4” of Accoya charred by using shou sugi ban; a Japanese way to treat wood surfaces that reveal fresh, distinct lines, and natural grains.
